Zbigniew Brzezinski: Revolutions in Georgia, Ukraine and Kyrgyzstan was a sincere and snap expression of political will

“I believe revolutions in Georgia, Ukraine and Kyrgyzstan was a sincere and snap expression of the political will,” Zbigniew Brzezinski a world-known political expert said in an interview with Georgian Times.

 

“However, it does not mean that democracy will start blooming in these countries at once. But people have, more or less, expressed their will,” the expert said when asked about efficiency of the color revolutions in the Post-Soviet states.

Zbigniew Brzezinski – born in Warsaw, Poland, the future national security adviser to President Carter and son of a Polish diplomat spent part of his youth in France, Germany and Canada. After becoming a U.S. citizen in 1958, Brzezinski acted as an adviser to Kennedy and Johnson administration officials. Generally taking a hard line on policy toward the Soviet Union, he was also an influential force behind the Johnson administration's "bridge-building" ideas regarding Eastern Europe. Since his time in government, Brzezinski has been active as a writer, teacher and consultant.
